Where farmers can find good coconut seednuts?

By R. Bourdeix,
Information remaining to be completed

Experimental hybrid tested at VARTC, Vanuatu

In this section, we will try to give to farmers the crucial information about where to find good coconut seednuts in their island countries. Ministries of agriculture and extension services are often releasing seednuts or seedlings to farmers.

On the other hand, we are also encouraging local stakeholders (men and women farmers, private enterprise, NGOs and CBOs) to become more involved in supplying good quality coconut germplasm. In the most performing countries for coconut production, of which Brazil and India, some private companies are presently doing useful and profitable business by selling coconut planting material to farmers.

So if you are producing coconut planting material, or even if you wish to do it because you already grow good varieties, or even if you want to create a new coconut seed garden on your own, please do not hesitate to contact us. We will try to help you and, if the planting material you release is of a good quality, we will add a link to your activities in this section of the website. please contact us at agripro2018@gmail.com with "CIDP seed production" included in the subject of the message.

Here are some of the information retreived about where to find coconut seednuts. This information remains uncomplete for some countries, due to lack of time to search data.
